The Chief Registrar Meets With Court Users at Bukedea Magistrate Grade I Court.

On August 20, 2014 His Worship Gadenya Paul , the Chief\r\nRegistrar , met the court users of Bukedea Magistrate Grade I Court to brief\r\nthem on the ongoing programmes within the Judiciary and to hear from them\r\npertinent issues they are facing in the delivery of justice. Many of the court\r\nusers voiced concern about the delay to refund bail after the trials and in\r\nsome cases, failure by Courts to issue them with receipts after paying for\r\nbail.

The Chief Registrar assured them that the Judiciary, will\r\nreform the payment of bail through the use of mobile money platforms.\r\nMagistrates would also be required to issue written instructions to accused\r\npersons clearly indicating whether the bail is to be paid in cash or it is a\r\nnone cash bail. Such a system if implemented will protect litigants against\r\nbeing taken care of by court staff.

On the whole, the court users commended Her Worship Rachel Nakyaze\r\nfor being punctual and for hearing their cases whenever they are cause listed.
